Drinagh West Graveyard

Location of the Casey grave

Note: Old graveyards are not laid out in strict grid formats. This is a good, but not exact, indication of the location of this grave

Graveyard Information:
This is the site of a medieval church, however no trace of that church survives today. The site does contain the remains of a later church, built in 1818. The graveyard contains numerous graves with the earliest legible inscription dating to 1843.

Directions:
Follow the Dunmanway road (R8637) from Drinagh Village for approx. 2km towards Curraghnalickey lake. Take the first left after the bridge, head up the hill and keep left at the fork. Continue on up the hill and the graveyard is to your left.
